Responsibilities:
The Field Coordinator based in Galmudug will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of PDA projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of Reports:
- Prepare comprehensive food distribution reports and final narrative reports for each project cycle.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting to meet organizational and donor requirements.
- Coordination and Meetings:
- Attend Humanitarian cluster coordination and working group meetings.
- Contribute expertise and knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of collaborative efforts.
- Community Engagement:
- Participate actively in beneficiary registration and community mobilization activities.
- Foster positive relationships with local communities to ensure effective project implementation.
- Communication and Representation:
- Manage the organization’s communication channels.
- Represent PDA in various forums, acting as the official liaison between the organization and external stakeholders.
- Government and Community Relations:
- Act as a liaison with local government authorities, fostering positive relationships.
- Cultivate strong connections with local communities to enhance the organization’s impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in humanitarian and development work, preferably in Somalia.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Somali.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with local communities and government authorities.
- Familiarity with key thematic areas of PDA’s intervention is an advantage.

The CCCM Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination, management, and implementation of CCCM programmes and building relationships with the clusters, government and other humanitarian actors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of CCCM programmes in accordance with international standards and best practices.
- Ensure high-quality program reports are submitted timely to track progress, measure impact, enhance accountability and inform future programming.
- Develop, revise and acclimate PDA standards for CCCM technical program strategy for Somalia as required, and utilize them for input into strategic documents.
- Coordinate with government and other humanitarian actors to ensure a coordinated and effective response to the needs of displaced populations.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of CCCM programmes to ensure that they are achieving their objectives.
- Ensure PDA’s strong representation in the camp coordination meetings, Sub-National CCCM, Shelter/NFIs, WASH Cluster Coordination Meetings and other relevant Coordination Forums.
- Represent the CCCM programme to donors, government officials, and other key audiences.
- Prepare reports and presentations on the CCCM programme and provide technical assistance to PDA Business and Proposals Development team.
- Train CCCM staff as per specific needs identified within the team, including assessments, best practices, and use field monitoring tools.
- Manage quality of CCCM information and information flow to and from field sites, including updates, various reporting tools, and other requests to and from the Clusters
- Coordinate and integrate with all activities by all humanitarian partners to avoid duplication and monitor that protection considerations are mainstreamed in all sectors.
- Provide technical and strategic input on behalf of PDA for Cluster tools, products, and guidance notes for CCCM projects, in line with Humanitarian Response Plans.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in international relations, humanitarian assistance, or a related field.
- An undergraduate degree with more than seven years of relevant experience, including at least three years of experience in Civil Society Organization (CSO) management will also be considered.
- Deep understanding of management challenges presented in this field and the dynamics of humanitarian issues within the Somalia context.
- Professional experience with One Grant Management System (OneGMS)- OCHA, Proposals development, submissions, follow-up, budgeting, financials, revisions and execution.
- Strong understanding of international humanitarian law and standards.
- Excellent project management and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
